While waterless car washing systems or 'eco-washes' are not a new concept, we definitely felt there was a gap for an affordable, well-planned product that saves water in India.
The Evoclean does exactly that. Using a harmless, water-soluble wax that is sprayed on and wiped off with a micro-fiber cloth, the EvoClean uses minimal water and does not add polution to the water system.
// It saves fresh drinking water by only using 750ml of water per wash to rinse the cloths, in comparison to the usual 200L it takes to wash a car.
// All of the products used to clean the car are harmless water-soluble products often found in food. This means when it rains or when cloths are cleaned, any of the residue entering back into the water system does not pollute the water.
// The containers that the products come in are reused continuously so there are minimal manufacturing processes to conserve water and energy.
The Evoclean is a waterless car washing system that uses less than 1 litre of water per wash, saving 200 litres on every wash. There is no harmful cocktail of chemicals afterwards and water is conserved, which is a major environmental challenge of our time.
The machine is compact and contains all the products needed for an all-in-one eco-friendly, waterless car wash, including waxing, protecting and polishing in under 25 minutes. Time is saved because the wash involves only one process and leaves out the ‘wetting and drying’ portion.
Instead of water, the Evoclean uses a harmless no-water protectant called Carnuba wax that suspends the dirt from the vehicle so it won’t get scratched, as well as waxes and protects the bodywork with a velvet smooth polish. Our Carnuba Wax is water soluble and poses no threat to the environment or the paintwork
The wax is sprayed onto your vehicle and immediately lifts the dust and dirt off the surface, holding it in suspension, eliminating the danger of scratching the paintwork. A specially selected microfiber cloth is then used to wipe the excess dirt and wax off. The cleaned surface is then buffed with another microfiber cloth leaving it polished, sealed and protected.
// Pressurised canister and spray for the wax. The canister is pumped by hand to pressurise it and the atomiser provides an easy way to get even but light coverage to prevent wastage.
// A water container holds the clean water to wash your cloths. A pump empties a small amount into the basin to rinse the cloths. It is then drained into a second container that can be emptied over a sewage drain.
// Detachable vacuum for cleaning the inside of the vehicle.
// Special microfiber cloths easily wipe away the wax and buff the car. They are colour coded for each product.
// There are separate cleaning products for the tyres, windows and headlights. They are all still environmentally friendly products.
// The cart is on wheels and weights on 28kg to make it easily mobile. It is also compact for easy storage.
// Spray the vehicles with the wax, avoiding the windows and tyres. The wax will stick to dirt and dust, holding it in suspension.
// Take a microfiber cloth and wipe the wax and dirt off the car, rinsing the cloth occasionally in the machine’s basin. There is no need to scrub or put pressure on the car, reducing the risk of scratches.
// Take a second microfiber cloth and buff the car. The residue from the wax will create a high shine on the vehicle similar to a chemical based wax.
// Use the glass, rim and tyre cleaners with the correct colour coded cloths to clean the windows, tyres and headlights and rims. The tyre cleaner requires a sponge rather than a microfiber cloth as it is easier to clean with.
— This whole process should take about 25 minutes, whereas a normal car wash can take in excess of 40 minutes.
